Marty
Turner has been playing with groups in Ohio since the early
80's. He started his career right out of high school with the rock cover
band “Prism”. Later, the funk/rock band “Platypus” out of Dayton
(Marty’s home town) and a band on Casablanca Records had Marty’s talent
for a few years. In central Ohio, Marty is best known for keeping the
beat with "Sunkissed" and then moving on to "Julie Ivory and Snapshot"
where he opened for many famous artists like “Bryan Adams” and “Night
Ranger”. During that time Marty also auditioned with “Chuck Mangione” in
New York. Another claim to fame was Marty’s involvement with "The Vince
Andrews Band" where he appeared on tour and recorded two CDs with Vince.
He later branched out to show his talents with other Columbus favorites
such as “The Studebakers” and “Allegro”. Marty also has extensive
recording experience.
